The thought crossed my mind that I should consider at least LOOKING at the other naturopathic schools in North America because my strange fixation to attend Bastyr has thus far blinded me to other possibilities. Now, there aren't many schools in Canada or the U.S. that offer the program, in fact there's only six. Three in the PNW (BC, WA, OR), one in Toronto, one in Connecticut, and one in Arizona.
Hey man, I've got desert rat blood in me...a great uncle of mine has made his home in Yuma all his life. The school looks spiff and all but as I was perusing the website, I happen to notice a little forecast/temperature guage in the bottom corner.
108 FREAKIN' DEGREES FAHRENHEIT!!!!!!!!!!
What the fuck?? People can't survive at temperatures that high!!! If you up that temperature by eight degrees celsius, you're half way to boiling water! Seriously, that temperature is sick, twisted, perverted, and I for one refuse to associate with anyone or anything that can survive in a climate like that. It's wrong, wrong, wrong!
Now if you'll excuse me, it's 68F and my feet are slightly chilled. Time for socks. Delicious, fuzzy socks.

And then they are all like... ya know... "well, it's a *dry* heat."
Fuck that.
An oven is dry effin' heat too, but you don't see anyone wanting to live in a fuckin' oven now, do ya???
(sorry for the extreme cursing... it just came flowing out of me and now when I read it I sound even sillier. heh.) :)
